Zamboni Chooses Cheerios Over Family Dog Hair, Here, There and Everywhere Discreet drug-sniffing dogs make house calls Zamboni was operated on in December 2004, after he tore the ligaments in his left hind leg. The ligaments were replaced with nylon so now he can use it to go fishing. Just kidding. But he has six weeks of being good, i.e., no running, no jumping, no being so happy he bends himself in two and nearly explodes.
